House sitting is about to boom in the city. The owners of a Toronto home got the surprise of a lifetime when they discovered that they got scammed out of their property seeing that it was listed and sold by two people pretending to be them while they were away on a business trip.

In January of 2022 the real homeowners left for their business trip and it was during that time the two people impersonated the owners of the home, that’s located in the Etobicoke area.

The two people, who police are looking to identify, apparently hired a real estate agent and listed the property for sale. They were able to sell the property and now the new homeowners has taken possession of the property.

It wasn’t until several months after the sale took place, the real homeowners had discovered their property had been sold without their consent. The two suspect that Toronto police is trying to identify used fake identification.
