Dr. Emily Agard is an immunologist that’s breaking barriers to inclusion in science.
Dr. Agard is of Grenadian and Barbadian decent and has earned her B.Sc. (honours) in Life Sciences from Queen’s University and a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Toronto. She taught Biology and Bio-Chemistry at York University and at the University of Toronto before joining Ryerson as an Associate Professor. Dr. Agard is currently, the Director of SciXchange at Ryerson University and was recently named Canada’s top 100 accomplished Black women. Dr. Agard is passionate about making science accessible, engaging and inclusive of all groups.
