Ever since Friyie, pronounced (Free Yey) touched the scene in 2017 with his single “Money Team” he’s been consistent with hits after hits.
David Afriyie Obeng, professionally known as Friyie is a Toronto rapper, Singer and songwriter. In 2017 his single “Money Team” caught the attention of popular boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather who then used the song as the soundtrack during his press conference and fight with Mc Gregor. The track “Money Team” has over 5 million streams to date.
In 2019 Friyie went on to release his debut EP “ANF: Ain’t Nothing Free”. The 16 track project did not disappoint. With banging features from Tory Lanez, Northside Benji, Roddy Rich and Meeno Giinchy; the Ep was straight spice and received some notable publications such as Complex, Vice and Washington post, just to name a few .
